- Go to /login, or select Log In in the top right of the landing page.
- Enter your Email and Password.
- Leave Remember me ticked, then select Log In.
Remember me is on by default and keeps you signed in after you close the browser. Untick it on a shared or public computer: the session is then held only for as long as the tab is open, and closing the browser signs you out.
If you created the account with Google, use Log in with Google instead. There is no password on a Google account.
Reset a forgotten password
- On the login form, type your email address into the Email field first.
- Select Forgot Password?
- A confirmation appears reading Send reset email to followed by your address, with a CAPTCHA underneath. Complete the CAPTCHA.
- Select Yes, send it.
You will see Reset email sent. Check your inbox. Follow the link in the email to set a new password.
The email field has to be filled in before you click, otherwise you get Please enter your email address first, then click Forgot Password.
The CAPTCHA is required. If it will not appear you get CAPTCHA failed to load. Please disable your ad blocker and refresh. Ad blockers and strict tracking protection are the usual cause.
Google accounts have no password to reset. Use Log in with Google.
Sign out
Open the profile menu in the top right of the app, then select Log Out.
When sign-in fails
Invalid email or password
The message is deliberately vague and does not tell you whether the email is registered. Two things are worth checking: the password, and whether you originally signed up with Google. The screen says as much underneath: Signed up with Google? Use the Google button above.
Too many attempts. Account locked for 5 minutes.
The login form limits you to five attempts a minute. Nothing is locked on your account, only the form in this tab, and reloading the page clears it.
Too many attempts. Please try again later.
This one comes from the sign-in service itself after repeated failures. Reloading will not help; give it a few minutes.
Google sign-in does not open a window Google sign-in prefers a popup, and falls back to sending the whole page to Google when the popup is blocked. So a blocked popup usually looks like the page navigating away rather than an error. Let it go through and it will bring you back signed in. Allowing popups for the site gives you the smoother version.
An account already exists with a different sign-in method. Try signing in with Google or email instead.
The address is registered, but not with the method you just used.
This account has been disabled. Please contact support.
Email support@servicedesk-simulator.com from the account’s own address.
Login is taking longer than expected. Check your connection and try again.
Sign-in did not complete in time. This is usually the connection rather than the credentials.
If sign-in appears to work but you keep being returned to the login screen, see Sign-in will not stick.
