Everything billing lives in one place: open the profile menu, select Settings, then Billing.

What the Billing tab shows

Your plan and its status. The statuses you may see are Free, Active, Trial, Past Due, Cancelled, or Cancels followed by a date when you have cancelled but the period has not ended yet.

Update your payment method or see invoices

Select Update Payment Method or Manage Billing. Both open the Stripe billing portal, where you can change the card, see your invoice history and download receipts.

Your renewal receipts also carry a direct link to the invoice in Stripe.

Cancel

  1. Settings, then Billing.
  2. Select Cancel Subscription.
  3. A short survey asks Before you cancel, what made you want to leave? Answer it and select Submit & Cancel, or back out with Never mind.
  4. You may be shown an option to stay on Pro. Taking it keeps your subscription as it is. No thanks, continue canceling takes you to the Stripe portal to finish cancelling.

The cancellation itself happens in the Stripe portal. If you close that window before confirming there, you are not cancelled.

What cancelling does

It stops future charges. It does not end your access immediately.

You keep Pro until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. The Terms put it the same way: your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. Your status then reads Cancels with that date.

Cancelling does not delete your account, your progress, your badges or your certificates. You go back to the free plan, with the daily limits, and everything you have earned stays.

Payment failures

If a renewal payment fails, your status shows Past Due and you keep access while Stripe retries. You will also get an email subject Action needed: Update your payment method. Fix the card in the Stripe portal.

If the billing controls are not there

Complimentary Pro accounts have no Stripe subscription to manage, so the portal controls do not apply to them.

If you have Pro and cannot find a way into the portal at all, or the portal does not recognise you, it is usually because the email you paid with differs from the email on your account, which Payment Links allow. Email support@servicedesk-simulator.com from your account’s address and say which address you paid with.

Refunds

Cancelling is not a refund. See Ask for a refund.
