- Open the profile menu and select Settings.
- Go to Account.
- Select Change Password. The description reads Update the password you use to sign in.
- Enter your Current password.
- Enter the New password and Confirm new password.
- Save.
You get Password changed successfully.
The rules
The new password has to meet the same requirements as a new account, which the field hints at: Min 8 chars, mixed case, number, special.
- At least 8 characters, at most 128
- An uppercase letter
- A lowercase letter
- A number
- A special character
- No spaces
- Not a commonly used password
It also has to differ from your current one.
What can go wrong

| Incorrect password. Please try again. | Current password is wrong. |
| Too many attempts. Please try again later. | Rate-limited after repeated failures. Wait. |
| Please sign in again before changing your password. | The session is too old for a security-sensitive change. Sign out, sign back in, try again. |
If you signed in with Google
There is no Change Password option on a Google account, because there is no password on it. Your sign-in is managed by Google.
If you cannot sign in at all
Use Forgot Password? on the login screen instead. See Log in and stay logged in.
