- Open the profile menu and select Settings.
- Go to Account.
- Next to Email, select Change.
- Enter the New email address.
- Enter your Current password.
- Select Send Verification.
You get Verification sent to the new address and Check your inbox. Open that inbox and follow the link.
What can go wrong
Incorrect password. Please try again. The Current password field does not match. This is a security check: changing the address on an account needs proof you own it.
This email is already in use by another account. Somebody else, or an older account of yours, already uses that address.
Too many attempts. Please try again later. Repeated failures are rate-limited. Wait and try again.
If you signed in with Google
The form is still there, but it asks for your current password and a Google account does not have one, so the change cannot go through. Your sign-in address is managed by Google.
Do not lose access to the old inbox yet
Keep the old address reachable until the change is confirmed. If the verification link never arrives, the old address is still what you sign in with.
