Certificates are the shareable credential. They are earned purely on how many tickets you have resolved in total, and earning them costs nothing.

The count is your lifetime total. It only ever goes up, so a certificate cannot be lost once earned.

See your progress

Open the profile menu and select Achievements.

The page shows your Current Rank, which is the highest certificate you have reached, your Points, and your Next Certificate with how many tickets are left. The Career Progression track shows the whole ladder, with the ones you have not reached yet marked Locked.

Earning is free, sharing to social is not

Earning a certificate and getting the credential are both free. Specifically:

  • Open credential, which opens the public verification page, is free
  • Download image, which saves a picture of the certificate, is free
  • Copy link is free
  • Posting to LinkedIn, X and Facebook requires Pro

Emails about certificates

If you are close to the next one, you may get an email with a subject along the lines of You’re 3 tickets from your Help Desk Technician certificate. It is a nudge, not a requirement, and it carries an unsubscribe link if you would rather not have them.

What a certificate is worth

It is honest to be clear about this. A ServiceDesk Simulator certificate says you resolved a number of simulated tickets in a training environment. It is not an industry certification, and the product’s own disclaimer says so: this is a simulation for educational purposes and it does not guarantee employment or certification.

What it is good for is showing a hiring manager that you have done the work rather than only read about it, and the public verification page lets them confirm the number is real.
