Voicemails is the inbox for calls you did not take. Select Voicemails in the top bar.
If you are on the free plan, selecting it opens the upgrade screen instead. Voicemails are listed as a Pro feature on the plan comparison.
Read the inbox
The header shows Voicemail Inbox with a count. Each message shows:
- The caller’s name, with a New badge until you have listened
- Their department and extension
- When it arrived and how long the message is
Select a message to open and play it. Opening it clears the New badge.
Where voicemails come from
Two sources.
A call that comes to you and is missed or declined becomes one, which is what the empty state describes: Voicemails appear when you miss or decline incoming calls.
They also arrive on their own while you play, so the inbox fills up whether or not you have ducked a call. It stops adding new ones while you already have several unheard, so it will not run away from you.
A new account shows No voicemails yet until either happens.
What to do with one
A voicemail is a ticket that has not been typed up yet. The message tells you who called, what is broken in their words, and how urgent it sounds. Some are missing the details you need, which is realistic and is part of the exercise.
The message gives you two actions: Create Ticket, which turns it into a ticket you can work, and archiving it. There is no call-back button, so if you want to speak to the person, reach them through Company Chat or start a call yourself.
They count toward assignments
If you are in a class, voicemails count the same as answered calls toward an assignment’s call requirement. The assignment form says so: Voicemails and answered calls both count toward call requirements.
